Growing up in the Midwest, Roxanne Bradley-Tate was surrounded by nature. Although she lived in the suburbs, her grandmother had a massive garden and there was a large open field behind her family's home. It was filled with tall prairie grasses and a grove of trees, with a small creek nearby. She spent countless hours picking wildflowers, catching lady bugs, and chasing butterflies with her sister and cousins. The nature inspired work she creates takes her back to the simplicity of those times and reflects a reverence for all that is divinely designed.
By day Roxanne works as a graphic designer and illustrator in the Washington, DC area. Her passion for botanical drawing and nature art began after taking a course at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University in 2016 under the guidance of Carol Beach. Roxanne now exhibits her work in local galleries and nationwide.
